舞台は、日本海側最大の島・佐渡島。佐渡島の人口は約5万人、島の面積は約855平方キロメートル、島一周は約280キロメートルあり、東京23区の1.4倍もの広さを誇る離島。この地を訪れたのはプロアングラーの佐藤文紀さんと俳優の前川泰之さん。今回は海釣りのイメージが強い佐渡島の渓流域でトラウトフィッシングに挑む。手付かずの大自然が残る初秋の渓流域で狙うのは、北方の趣を残すエゾイワナ、本州の渓流を代表するニッコウイワナ、そして美しい朱点が映えるヤマメ。美しい渓魚をルアーで狙うコツや必須アイテムを紹介。また釣り人を癒す絶品郷土料理も紹介する。
